Meet the new members of the Fam...

This is Reed.
He is a 7 month old Irish Setter. We got him from a couple her locally that trains and shows Irish Setters. And let me tell you that there was an extensive and grueling process to get him "an FBI Interview" and now we have rules to follow. Yeah right...He is a family dog not a professional Show Dog. However we did put him a Dog Show in August in the Puppy class and he took second place in his Breed. I'm such a proud Momma!
and This Is Bentley.
Ever Since we lost Simon, I have questioned whether or not to get another Cat. But let me tell ya...I LOVE this little guy. The DH brought him home to me and it was all over. He looks just like Simon, but his personality is the exact opposite.

It was Beautiful Today! I find myself saying "Beautiful" a lot lately. My 2nd presentation went great today. Once again I hope I made an impression. Went to Dinner with my Mom. When we got home the whole Fam (the Zoo) went outside. That is a picture of Carson, he is an African Grey Parrot. Poor thing can't fly worth a lick. The DH thought he could give him flying lessons. I did get this beautiful shot. His landings suck. Poor thing clutched to me and wouldn't let go after the third toss. He's not talking to the DH right now. Now I am off to do a LO to post on TallyScrapper, and then bed.

Productive Weekend

Had a Busy weekend. Got a lot accomplished and was even able to squeeze in some scrapping. There was a challenge on Tally Scrapper to do a LO using office supplies. Love it. So on the first LO I used everything from notebook paper to white out! Yes white out! The second LO is of me and I rarely ever do that. Since being a member of the community at Tally Scrapper I have challenged myself in many ways and have developed a style that I really like. I have my second presentation on Monday and then it will be done. I hope I do well again. I did get a new Outfit for it!

New Wheels!

I am officially driving a car after years of driving a SUV. This is my new ride. It is a 2007 Toyota Camry SE. It was voted Motor Trends Car of the Year for 2007. It has amazing conveniences such as Blue Tooth technology so that my phone hooks into the car stereo automatically without any wires, has a plug for an IPOD and the radio is a MP3 player. It has Excellent safety features. The main reason we went from me driving the Sequoia to work to driving this, Better Gas Mileage! I am very happy, My Husband sacrificed his Tundra so that we could keep the Sequoia. I wonder what he wants?! Sorry about the lag time between posts, I seem to be spending every spare moment @ TallyScrapper.com! What a fun and exciting site. Grand Opening is March 9th. I will be on-line participating in all the fun while scrapping away. Off to do some more LOs to post in Tally Scrappers gallery!

Spring in the Air

It has Been Beautiful here in Virginia the past few days. Mid to upper 50's in February. I can't believe we haven't had a ground covering snow all Winter. KoKo is our Umbrella Cock-a-too. He loves to walk the railing of the deck and be outside. He has an unbelievable personality. We rescued him in Florida. He is 5 years old a had a few bad habits. I felt so sorry for him. He was in a garage in Florida with fans blowing on him. We took a risk and brought him home. Needless to say we LOVE him. He is a sweet bird. He talks, sings, yells (that would be a bad habit), dances, and loves to play tug-of-war.

Friendship

I think that life teaches you how to be a friend even in the hardest of times. This is Melissa my BFF. She is engaged to my husband's brother. To make a long story short... Jamie and I have been trying to concieve a child for a LONG time, we are now in our 6th month of infertility treatments. Yesterday I found out that Melissa is pregnant with her second. Of course I was upset. Not upset that she was pregnant. I am happy for her, but even more upset with myself. It stinks to feel inadequate as a women. We have yearned for a baby and it seems so easy for the ones around us. I know as a Friend I need and will support her, smile for her. and be there 100%. After all her biggest concern was my heartache.

Then there was Tricia my other BFF right there to pick me up and make me Smile!

Nothing like a good scrapbooking retreat to brighten your spirits! Tricia and I are heading of to a Lodge with 9 other women for a weekend of cropping! It is going to be fun! I would like to finish up 2006! We check in Friday!

Picked up some card board letters at Recollections when I was in Northern Va. with Tricia and Christine. Here is the finished product. I must say I really like the Mod-Podge, I can't wait to try some canvas scrappin art. I put these beauties on a shelf in our entry way.

Here are some recent layouts!!!!

Rewarding Career...

For all who do not know, I am a Therapist and the Director of Rehab. Here is my team (minus one). We are taking a picture with one of our rehab graduates. This man recovered after a severe car accident that was not his fault. He had a multitude of injuries. He went through 4 months of therapy 5 days a week. It was so wonderful to visit him at his home for his Birthday. It is a nice feeling to know that you have a positive impact on each and every patient's life. I am fortunate to what I LOVE! Helping others.

I'm Back....

Thanks to the encouragement from Christine! Thanks! We had a great Holiday weekend with Friends and Family! Thanks for the laughs Christine & Shane. We had a wonderful Christmas! I was spoiled by the Husband, He finally caught on this year. He got me all kinds of "Art's & Crafts Stuff" as he calls it. I call it "Hitting the Scrapbook Lottery with a little Bling" Check it out! I took a photo of my Lute, also a Picture of our festive family room & My mom & Dad with a little girl (Kendra) that my parents have practically adopted. It was nice being able to give gifts and seeing everyone laughing and smiling! It's good for the soul! I love the Holidays, out side of all the madness that leads up to them. My dad is not feeling well and has recently been diagnosed with Cancer of the Lungs, Kidneys, and Bone. I looked at this Christmas in a different light. I tried to capture and remember every moment at my Mom's Christmas morning. It is hard to imagine Christmas without him. I took lots of pictures and we video recorded everything. I am excited to scrap it! At the greedy Santa exchange @ Tricia's I won some awesome Foof-a-la paper, buttons, and Christmas Stickers! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! FYI... Cricut came out with a new cartridge "Walk in the Garden" I Love it!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Sorry for not posting in such a long time! My life has been crazy! Here is a taste "http://http://www.wdbj7.com/ Truck theft victim nabs suspect" Click on the video link. This is our local news channel. My husband's truck was stolen yesterday and he chased down the suspect. I am just glad that he is OK. Needless to say the lady went four wheelin' in a Toyota Tundra with a 20ft. Trailer attached to it. What was she thinking? She managed to mangle the trailer and damaged 5 other cars thst were parked on the road.

Anyway, I am finally settled into the new house! I love it! We have so much room. I tried to upload some pictures, but I wasn't able to.

We had 22 tricker treaters in our new neighborhood. That is double what we had last year. How many did you have? My mom lives in a neighborhood where other people come to trick-or-treat. She cut the lights out after handing out 72 bags.

A layout or Two

Look... there was creativity in the air....
This layout is of my 3 nieces! I love the fact that they so close in age! My hope for them is that they will be the very Best of Friends Forever.

This Layout is of my Best Friend Melissa and my Brother-in-Law Albert. I Love this layout! I used the new line "BoHo Chic" from We R Memory Keepers. Luv It! I am waiting to do the journaling, but it will say "She Always BELIEVED is his Strength and his Love". Believe was cut out using my CRICUT. I love that machine. I don't think I will ever buy another set of letter stickers. If you don't have one then I strongly suggest you try it. You will be hooked!

Now I am suffering from scrapers block!

Here's a Joke for you...

Disclaimer: Adults only, it's a little racy!

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to Mike behind him,"My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I'd better see a doctor."

"Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money," Mike replies."There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars . . A lot cheaper than a doctor."

So, Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart. He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample.

He pours the sample into the slot and waits. Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:"You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks. Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart.

"That evening, while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Joe began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm sample for good measure.

Joe hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to check the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results. The computer prints the following:

1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. (Aisle 9)

2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. (Aisle 7)

3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab.

4. Your wife is pregnant. Twins. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.

5. If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better!

Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart

Soon to be called HOME!

Here it is.......

It is a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath ranch with 2050 sq. ft. on one level and a Huge two car garage. It has a full walk out basement that is already studded for 2 additional bedrooms, huge greatroom, kitchen, lg. bath and laundry room. You can say we have plenty of room to grow. It sits on 1.5 acres of both clear and wooded land. The deck spans the whole back of the house and has a patio underneath. It lacks curb appeal, but we can add that. Spring project! We are sooo excited and I have a lot of packing to do. We close on Oct. 12th. We put our current house on the market and it sold at asking price in less than 60 days.
